Son charged with murder of his 100-year-old mother

THE son of 100-year-old Hannah Fitzgibbon, who was found dead with a stab wound at her home in Stepney earlier this week has been charged with her murder. He is due to appear at Thames Court today.

Michael Fitzgibbon, 61, who lived with his mother in Hainton Close was charged last night.

When police called at their home on Wednesday morning they discovered Mrs Fitzgibbon's body. She had a neck wound.
