PUPILS at an East Ham school were so proud to be part of such a brilliant learning community that they decided to share their experience with Press Gang readers.
We are happy to re-produce their letter and the picture they sent us features above
They told us: "Dear Newham Recorder Press Gang,
"We are writing to you to inform you about one of the events that have taken place at Vicarage Primary School, East Ham, in accordance with our Centenary Year.
"To celebrate the 100 years that have gone by, we had taken a photograph of the whole school shaped as the number 100. As well as this event, our cook, who had been serving the school. retired.
"The cook named Mrs Bradley was a spectacular cook for our school. She was so great that we decided to have a whole assembly devoted to her retirement. Mrs Bradley was presented with a special handmade card for every year group. Year 5 gave her a card with pictures of all our favourite meals, our own poems or messages.
"The photo included even reception and nursery children, year 1 and 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. The school have been looking at the photo and said it was really good!
Kind regards from the children, Deyaz, Radh and Ramunas." Thanks guys, much appreciated.
