Win tickets to Whipsnade Zoo

14 July 2010
ANIMALS of myth and legend have returned to ZSL Whipsnade Zoo in a new exhibit showcasing beasts from the past.

Wild Wild Whipsnade is the new animal attraction featuring the majestic moose, the mystical wolverine and the beautiful lynx in specially-created enclosures and the Recorder is giving three lucky readers a chance to win a family ticket each to the zoo.

Joining these beasts are the entertaining wild boar, eerie wolves and beautiful bison to give visitors a taste of Wild Wild Whipsnade as it once was.

The season is now in full swing with daily demonstrations - including Sealion Splash and Birds of the World as well as talks and interactive sessions at Cheetah Rock, the Rhinos of Nepal and In With The Lemurs (check day planner for details on visit).

The popular Elephantastic! Display with Asian elephants is back in a brand new arena.

Set in 600 acres of scenic parkland on the top of the Chiltern Hills, Whipsnade offers you the opportunity to see more than 200 species of the world's most incredible and endangered creatures.

Spend a fabulous day out where you can turn explorer and wander the zoo on foot or take a trip on our free Safari Tour bus or have an old-fashioned adventure by steam train aboard The Jumbo Express.

All this, plus our fun meerkats, lovable lemurs and amazing tigers for you to see. Don't forget, when you're ready for a break, stop off at the Wild Bite or Look Out cafes where locally-sourced organic and varied fare is served.

Whipsnade Zoo is open daily from 10am to 6pm, (7pm Sundays and Bank Holidays during peak season). For more information see website www.zsl.org.

For your chance to win a family ticket to Whipsnade, see this week's Recorder.
