Shocked on doorstep
15 February 2010
A CANNING Town man had his mobile phone stolen while he was standing on his doorstep.
The 24-year-old was just outside his home in Barking Road on his way to meet friends when his companion was locking the front door.
The victim was sending a text message at which point a teenager rode past on a bicycle and grabbed the Apple phone.
He then rode into Morgan Street and headed for the subway that passes under the A13. The victim tried to chase him but lost sight of the thief.
He is described as about 16 and black. The incident took place on December 28 at 4.45pm.
