Phone thefts alert

AN alert has been sounded after three people in Newham have had their mobile phones taken.

All three incidents happened on April 19. In the first, a 20-year-old man was talking on the phone in Tollgate Road, Beckton, at around 12.25am. He had just finished talking and was about to put the phone in his picket when a man snatched it from his grasp.

In the second incident in Balaam Street, Plaistow, a 17-year-old has his phone taken as he was about to put it in his pocket at 2.30pm.

The third theft was in High Street North, East Ham, when a 31-year-old man had his phone taken when he was making a call on his iPhone outside Lidl at about 9.45pm. The phone was snatched from his hand.
